Project Reporting & Journal Entries

Project Reporting & Journal Entries

After each community site experience, you must log your hours on the Project Reporting Log and Journal Entries form and engage in reflective journaling. This process should continue until you have completed all 22.5 hours of your AFE Community Experience.

Reflection is crucial for your development and is a vital aspect of critical thinking, as outlined by Tanner’s Model of Clinical Judgment. It helps integrate learning from practice into personal experience, aiding in future decision-making in patient care situations (Giddens, 2021).

These reflective journal entries provide you with an opportunity to evaluate your AFE Community experiences. Each entry should be completed within 24 hours after your observational experience to ensure you capture all of the details. However, you have until the end of week 10 to submit your completed validation of hours form and journal entries. Remember to print your validation of hours form and fill out each section without leaving any blank spaces or using ‘NA’. A designated coordinator who is overseeing your hours must sign your Project Reporting Log using ink. Then, submit the form to the correct assignment location in Canvas.
