Purpose: This assignment is meant to give you an opportunity to reflect on your own life cycle development-where you have come from, and where you are now. We are shaped by our experiences in each stage, and this is a chance to explore that for yourself as well as understand what it means to be at your current life stage. This assignment is personal and with that, the instructor will hold what you share confidentially and respectfully.

Instructions: Write a reflective essay (at least 500 words, 2-3 pages) about your own sexual development across each life cycle stage up through your current life cycle stage. Briefly describe each stage and then reflect upon your experience of each one. This is obviously a very personal assignment and you are not asked to share beyond what you are comfortable sharing. Reflect on your growing awareness as a child, experiences you had, and messages you received regarding your growing awareness and development. Identify your current life cycle stage and how that relates to your own sexuality.
