Posttest Survey Discussion Board
Instructions
Step 1:
Create a second survey in REDCap using your questions and information sheet from your Posttest Survey Worksheet.
- Please refer to the “Creating Surveys in REDCap” tab in the module resources.
- Revise questions or answer choices provided in your original worksheet based upon faculty feedback.
- Use the USA IRB template for your information sheet to inform participants of the relevant disclosures associated with taking your survey.
- Include the instructions for participants to include their unique identifier. Copy these instructions from your pretest survey worksheet so you can link participant data later on.
Step 2:
Before posting your survey for your peers, be sure you have addressed the following criteria in your survey. Remember that once your survey link is published, it is NOT acceptable to go back and modify your survey or ask your peers to take a new survey. The data collected in this process will be the data you use for future analyses – just like in a “real world” scenario, you will be working with the data you collected, whatever that looks like.
Check tips on how to do your DNP Project Writing Service.
Posttest Survey Discussion Board
Your survey should include:
- One (1) subjective question (changes daily or weekly) copied from your pretest survey
- One (1) NEW or REVISED question soliciting a QUANTITATIVE response (please do not ask another qualitative question in the posttest survey!)
Step 3:
To post your survey to the pretest discussion board, you must copy the survey link. You will need to have a DIFFERENT link from your pretest survey. Create a new discussion post including your link for your classmates to take your survey.
Surveys should be posted by the deadline specified in the course schedule. You should then take all classmates surveys by the deadline in the course schedule.
NOTE: It is important that you can accurately recall your unique identifier for your classmates’ posttest surveys. Many students find it helpful to print the course roster to help them keep track of which surveys they have taken. You may also denote your unique identifier here for future reference.
Posttest Survey Discussion Board
Before you post your final posttest survey, did you:
- incorporate all faculty feedback from your graded worksheet?
- include instructions for participants to provide a unique identifier (for later data linkage)?
- carry forward your subjective question as-is from the pretest survey?*
- include 4 new or revised quantitative questions?
- remove/revise all qualitative questions to collect quantitative data?
*If you made your subjective question qualitative for the pretest survey, you should write a new quantitative question in its place for the posttest survey.
