Assessment 2 Annotated Bibliography

Annotated bibliography

An annotated bibliography is a selected list of resources (articles, books, or book chapters) relevant to one particular topic, issue, question or problem, which includes the same information as a reference list (provided at the end of an essay) but also a concise review of the value of each resource to understand the selected topic.

The annotated bibliography format will also give you a good opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of one specific topic, issue, question, or problem related to cultural diversity in teaching, learning, or working.

Assignment Description

This Annotated bibliography assignment is in two parts.

Part One is an overview of your overall annotated bibliography (approximately 500 words) where you present your topic, issue, question, or problem, and how/why you selected these 5 resources. The overview should provide a brief justification for the review and significance of the topic. Please do not repeat the summaries you use in the main body of the review in the introduction.

The Second part is the list of your 5 annotated resources (approximately 300-400 words each). This is where you will demonstrate the depth of your reading and understanding of these resources. Each annotation is expected to contain a summary of the content of the article that is relevant to your topic as well as your reflection, analysis or evaluation of the value of this resource to understand your topic.

Assessment 2 Annotated Bibliography

Please note that sometimes only part of an article may be relevant to your topic, so in this case you would only summarize and analyze this part, not the whole article. Your annotation may also include some cross-references to other articles, for example, when the ideas expressed by the author are very similar, or alternatively very different from another author
